Arrival in Nairobi & Welcome Dinner

13th Jan 2027 Nairobi Transfer The Boma

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), proceed through immigration and collect your luggage. After clearing customs, your Safari N Smiles driver-guide will welcome you in the arrivals area with a personalized name sign and assist with your bags.

Enjoy a private escorted transfer to The Boma Hotel Nairobi, where you will check in and settle into your accommodation.

In the evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner and trip orientation. Enjoy freshly prepared international cuisine while meeting the team, reviewing the upcoming Kenya dental mission and safari itinerary, and preparing for the meaningful experiences ahead.

After dinner, relax at the hotel and enjoy a restful night before your Kenya adventure begins.

Nairobi tour

Nairobi Coffee Farm & Giraffe Centre Experience

14th Jan 2027 Giraffe Centre Karunguru Coffee Farm

Enjoy a relaxed morning after your international flight, with time to sleep in and recharge. After breakfast, your professional safari driver-guide will meet you at The Boma Hotel Nairobi at 10:00 AM for a warm welcome before beginning your Nairobi day tour.

Your first stop is Karunguru Coffee Farm, where you will enjoy a guided tour through the lush coffee estate and discover how premium Kenyan coffee is grown, harvested, processed and prepared—from crop to cup. The visit concludes with an interactive coffee-tasting experience featuring freshly brewed estate coffee.

Lunch is served at Karunguru’s elegant colonial mansion, either inside the historic residence or in the manicured gardens overlooking the surrounding coffee fields. Enjoy a beautifully prepared three-course meal in a peaceful setting that combines old-world charm, refined hospitality and the natural beauty of Kenya’s coffee highlands.

In the afternoon, continue to the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi for an unforgettable close encounter with endangered Rothschild giraffes. Learn about their conservation, breeding and protection while enjoying opportunities to observe and feed these graceful animals.

After the visit, return comfortably to The Boma Hotel Nairobi later in the afternoon, with time to relax and unwind before the next stage of your Kenya mission and safari journey.

Day 3
Chuka

Nairobi → Chuka (Mission Prep Day)

15th Jan 2027 Chuka mission

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi for Chuka, a picturesque town located in the lush foothills of Mount Kenya. The scenic drive takes you through rolling tea plantations, rice plains of Mwea, rural villages, and panoramic mountain views — a true glimpse into the heart of Kenya’s countryside.

Upon arrival in Chuka, check in at Lowlands Hotel and proceed for lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to mission preparations, including dropping mission supplies at Kenya Kids Connection, setting up the mission site, and meeting and aligning with the local medical and community team.

In the evening, enjoy dinner, followed by a team planning and coordination meeting led by the Safari N Smiles mission team, where outreach schedules, assignments, and logistics are finalized for the next day’s dental healthcare service and volunteer work in local communities. Conclude the day with rest and overnight in Chuka.

Day 4
Chuka

MISSION DAY

16th Jan 2027 Chuka mission

The day begins with an early breakfast at the hotel before departing for the mission site, ready for a full and meaningful day of service. The morning and early afternoon are dedicated to dental screenings and preventive care, where the team will provide check-ups, basic treatments, and referrals as needed. Alongside clinical services, you will lead oral health education sessions, engaging children and adults through demonstrations and interactive discussions focused on hygiene, prevention, and long-term oral wellness.

A packed lunch will be served on-site to ensure the team remains energized and on schedule as services continue throughout the day. In the late afternoon, mission activities culminate in a heartfelt closing ceremony with the community, featuring words of appreciation, reflections on impact, and certificate issuance to acknowledge participation and contribution.

In the evening, return to Chuka for a special dinner with the local medical and community team, offering a relaxed setting to celebrate achievements, share experiences, and strengthen partnerships. The day concludes with overnight at Lowlands Hotel, allowing time to rest and recharge after an impactful mission day.

Day 5
Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Chuka → Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Start your day with an early breakfast in Chuka before setting off on a scenic drive through Kenya’s central highlands toward the renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, celebrated for its rich biodiversity and successful conservation efforts.

Upon arrival at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, you'll check into one of Kenya's premier luxury tented safari camps. Overlooking a busy natural waterhole that attracts a variety of wildlife throughout the day, the camp seamlessly blends elegant comfort with an authentic safari experience. After a delicious lunch and some time to relax amidst the tranquil surroundings, set out on an exciting afternoon game drive across the conservancy's expansive plains. Renowned as East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary, Ol Pejeta offers exceptional wildlife viewing, with guaranteed rhino sightings and excellent opportunities to encounter elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, and numerous other species in their protected natural habitat.

As the sun sets over the conservancy, return to your camp to relax and unwind, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the wild before settling in for overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, Ol Pejeta.

Day 6
Full Day game drive

Ol Pejeta (Full Safari Day)

18th Jan 2027

The day begins with an exhilarating early morning game drive, offering the best opportunity to spot wildlife as they are most active, with chances to encounter a wide variety of plains game, predators, and iconic species in their natural habitat. After the drive, return to camp for a relaxed breakfast, enjoying the serene surroundings of the conservancy.

Later in the morning, you may opt for an optional visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary, where you will learn about conservation efforts and observe rescued chimpanzees in a protected environment. The afternoon is reserved for lunch and rest, allowing time to unwind and enjoy the lodge facilities.

As the day cools, set out once again for an exciting afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the conservancy and increasing your chances of spotting more wildlife against the backdrop of the setting sun. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and relaxation, spending your second night at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 7
Lake Naivasha

Ol Pejeta → Lake Naivasha

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before checking out and departing for the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, check in at the charming Lake Oloiden Resort and enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the serene lakeside surroundings.

In the afternoon, unwind at the Olkaria Geothermal Spa, where you'll soak in the naturally heated, mineral-rich pools set against the spectacular backdrop of Hell's Gate National Park. The warm geothermal waters provide the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate after your journey.

Later, return to Lake Oloiden Resort to freshen up before enjoying a delightful dinner. Spend the evening at leisure and settle in for a peaceful overnight stay overlooking the tranquil beauty of Lake Naivasha.

Day 8
Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate

Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate

Begin the day with an early delicious breakfast before departing for the spectacular Hell's Gate National Park, one of Kenya's most unique parks where you'll enjoy an exciting guided biking safari through dramatic cliffs, towering rock formations, and open plains. As you cycle through the park, keep an eye out for zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, and a variety of birdlife roaming freely in their natural habitat.

NB: For guests who prefer not to cycle, the safari vehicle will accompany the group through the park.

After your adventure, return to Lake Oloiden Resort for a delicious lunch and some time to relax while enjoying the peaceful lakeside setting.

In the afternoon, head to Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat ride, gliding across the tranquil waters as you spot hippos and an abundance of birdlife. The experience continues with a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you'll have the rare opportunity to walk safely among free-roaming giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other herbivores while taking in breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding Great Rift Valley landscape.

As the day comes to an end, return to Lake Oloiden Resort for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Day 9
Nairobi - Diani

Return to Nairobi (End of 9-Day Trip)

Begin the day with a relaxed breakfast before departing on a scenic drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, enjoy flexible time for shopping, use of day rooms for refreshment and rest, or smooth airport transfers, depending on your flight schedule. This marks the end of the 9-Day Base Itinerary, bringing a memorable safari and adventure experience to a close.

For guests opting to extend their journey, the Optional Kenyan Coast Extension begins with an afternoon flight to Diani. On arrival at Ukunda Airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Neptune Village Beach Resort for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to unwind and enjoy a leisurely afternoon at the beach, soaking in the warm coastal breeze and turquoise waters. As evening falls, savor dinner at the resort before settling in for a relaxing overnight stay at Neptune Village, ushering in the beachside chapter of your Kenyan adventure and washing off the "Safari Dust."

Fly Back to Nairobi & Depart

Begin your morning with a leisurely breakfast at Neptune Village Beach Resort & Spa before checking out. You’ll then enjoy a smooth transfer to a nearby Ukunda Airstrip to catch your afternoon flight back to Nairobi.

Upon arrival, depending on your international flight schedule, you may:

  • Enjoy an optional lunch at a Nairobi restaurant.

For added comfort before departure, you can relax in an optional day-use hotel conveniently located inside Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, such as Arygle Grand Airport Hotel or at a nearby Eka hotel. Transport back to airport can be organized by hotel or privately on your own cost
